Having had diabetes for a few years - and abit of knowledge (though I'm always learning something new) - I like to help people overcome their fears of the D word. I try to not over fill their brains with all the techno crappola that is involved with diabetes - but try to help explain it with abit of humour. It usually works, and helps them understand diabetes better - and hopefully go on to leading as full a life as I have had with being a diabetic all these years. Hmmm, is this a good enough excuse to wear wings ????
