Tell your story as to why you want to become a Diabetic Angel or start your own chapter of the Diabetic Angels and maybe your story will be featured!
I have been a diabetic since the age of 12 (I am now 24), and recently have been feeling that I am not doing as well as I should be. I had my daughter 2 and a half years ago. During the time that I was pregnant I had a rough time, but in the 2 years since I had my daughter, between caring for her, working and going to school, I don't have as much time as I feel that I need to properly care for myself in the way that I should. I have recently started trying to eat healthier, and look into different types of treatment (specifically the pump) but I still feel that even after 12 years there is still much more that I need to learn and could benefit from. One thing that has always been lacking in my life is knowing other diabetics and being able to talk to others who have/have had the same experiences as I have. I am hoping that by becoming a Diabetic Angel that I might have more opportunities to learn, and communicate with others.
How did you find the Diabetic Angels? What were you searching for?
I was reading Mary Tyler Moores new book and decided to look at the website
