Hi Seth, It is my pleasure, if I can be of any help I will continue to forward information to you, but please don't feel like you have to keep thanking me, you have enough to do! I only hope someone is able to help you and your dad. :)
Hi Seth, Today I heard about an organization that might be able to help, it is for the homeless. Go to www.ifhomeless.org. They were created to place people in hotel rooms and help them with their needs until they can get on their feet. I don't know much about them, but I wanted to pass this information on.
Hi Seth,
Welcome to the Diabetic Angels, but I are so sorry to hear about your dad. If it helps, I have a few suggestions. There is an online website designed to help uninsured diabetics, it is called Diabetic Rockstar, www.diabeticrockstar.com. Also, there is an office of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Atlanta, GA,I think the telephone number for the local JDRF office is: 404-420-5990. In the mean time, I will check with people I know to see if there are provisions available to help homeless diabetics. One last thought, I don't know who your Congressional Representative is, but if I were you, I wouldn't hesitate to call the office of your Congressman and one or both of your U.S. Senators, either Saxby Chambliss, who said: "Assistance with Economic Hardship
Georgia’s families have been hit hard by the current economic climate and while Congress strives to do what it can to stabilize the economy, I want to make sure Georgians are aware of the different avenues of support that are available. If you need further guidance, please do not hesitate to contact my office toll free at 1-800-234-4208." You can also contact Johnny Isakson, DC telephone # (202) 224-3643, or his Atlanta office, (770) 661-0999. Ask to speak with the the Congressman or Senator's Health Advisor and explain your predicament and see if they are able to help your dad. Also, we are contacting our friend at Diabetic Rockstar and giving him a heads-up that you might get in touch with him. Please keep us informed and if there anything else we can do don't hesitate to comment or message us.

My Father is going through the toughest time in his life. His battle with diabetes has consumed him. He is in a state of depression that he sees as hopeless. He is now homeless. I am trying to find him support and help anywhere I am able.
How did you find the Diabetic Angels? What were you searching for?
I can't remember, But I texted the website address to myself
