Welcome to the Diabetic Angels!
Hi, we are Mollie T., Jackie J., Mollie and Jackie, two sets of twins who are connected in more ways than one. First, we are all related to each other, Mother and Aunt, and daughters and nieces who happen to have the same names. Secondly, we all are members of the new positive rockin’ country music group, Mollie and Jackie, MJ2!
Thirdly, we are the original founders of the Diabetic Angels. The Diabetic Angels were created in 1999, when Mollie, who was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when she was four, experienced an extremely hurtful bout with discrimination at school. When we came to the conclusion that people are not intentionally mean, but that they do cruel things out of fear and ignorance, we felt compelled to do something about it. We didn’t want anyone else to experience the pain and hurt that Mollie had to endure, so created the Diabetic Angels as a club to teach our friends and family about diabetes, with the mission of educating, advocating, and fundraising until a cure for Diabetes is found.

I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT MINIMED HAS BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR QUICK SETS SINCE 2004.. DONT YOU THINK THAT IT IS TIME FOR MM TO GO BACK TO THE 508 PUMP AND DUMP THE PATHWAY PROGRAM

this is for Isaac..... you are wrong and right ... with the medtronic pump you always get air bubbles.... but i have been on the animas pump for months now and get no air bubbles... i wish everyone would just tell the truth....minimed is dealing w...
Jeanene... the only thing that saved me was the dexcom seven sensor.... go to the site dexcom.com best sensor ever... it saved my life.... i have been a diabetic for over 50 years..
this is for jeanene horn the same thing happened to me...i put in a claim with medtronic legal team ... you should do the same... but the best advice i can give you... call animas and get off of that mickie mouse pump..... you can email me at dave...
Again I'm sorry. The recall was do to a very specific issue with the infusion set. Mainly dealing with high altitudes. Have you had a chance to download your pump to see if there were any alarms when there was an over or under delivery of insulin?...

Self managing is what it's all about, and how you react or what treatment you administor, dictates the outcome. But with Diabete's it changes so quickly and is unpredictable. And that's the challenge. It bloody gets me down more than it should do, and that's the frustration creeping in. We all suffer in silence and do the best you can, some times you get it right, and hope you keep getting it right. Hope.

Trying To Catch Up And A BIG Announcement!
Hey Everyone!
Happy Monday!! :) It was so beautiful here in Las Vegas, getting colder by the day, which is awesome! :) It was in the 80’s last week…it’s in the 70’s this week…and according to Aunt Mama (who is the group weather-woman..) :) says it’s going to be in the 60’s next week…Yay! :)
Later tonight, MJ2 has rehearsal and we’re totally loving every minute of this past year! I can barely wait for rehearsal today, much less the upcoming show itself….which reminds me, I need to vocalize….… Continue
